When I had lost 40 pounds, I stopped losing weight, I became upset when the
scale didn't budge no matter what I did. I talked to a trainer who checked
everything I ate and then suggested I eat more protein, and eat five to six
times a day. Once I started increasing my calories and eat more often, my weight
loss restarted. Before I knew it I was a 100 pounds lighter.
I've
maintained this weight for almost four years now, have never felt
happier and life has never been better. I'm in a healthy relationship,
and most importantly, my self-esteem has soared. I'm a proud and confident
woman who will never again be ashamed of herself. When I first started
the goal was to lose weight. I went beyond this goal a long time ago.
I realize that there are more components to being fit than just body
weight. I am now focused on my fitness goals instead of weight loss
I've even become the spokesperson for the
biggest gym in the
world,
I did advertising promoting the benefits of working out. Since people
can really see me, I'm the living proof that hard work and commitment really do
pay off.
I had many ups and downs -- including plateaus -- but I was determined to stay
on track. My biggest challenge was not to beat myself up and take it as a sign
to abandon my healthful habits if I ate something that was unhealthy. Instead, I
swore to start again and always keep my goal in mind.
My new life is amazing. I have more self-confidence than I know what
to do with and I’m not sorry to report that my cardiovascular routine
is 80 percent elliptical machine, 15 percent treadmill, and 5 percent
beating my husband off my footsteps. I really don't mind. :-)
